Hoquiam man charged with murder.
A magistrate has been charged with second-degree murder two days after he allegedly stabbed a motel employee to the east of the magistrate's office on Monday afternoon, February 26th.
Michael Anthony Trujillo, 33, of Hakim, allegedly stabbed Armando Reyes, 25, more than once. Authorities say Reiss was working at the Oceanside Motel. The call was reported at 2:48 p.m., according to Jeff Myers, head of the magistrate's police department.
Reyes, who received emergency care at the scene by Hakium Paramedics, died of his injuries, Myers said
Trujillo was caught shortly after the incident, "even before officers arrived at the scene," Myers said in a Facebook post.
"(Hakim Police) Officer Christian Slater was responding to the scene when he saw the described suspect running west down an alley from the scene (as reported)," Myers wrote in an email to the Daily World.
Once Trujillo was arrested, he was taken to Hakium City Jail, where he was held until late Monday night before being transferred to Grace Harbor County Jail. Trujillo was booked into the Grace Harbor County Jail on Tuesday evening, March 1, according to the jail list.
According to the Grace Harbor County Jail Roster, Trujillo is currently being held without bail on charges of murder, residential theft, second-degree theft and second-degree malicious mischief.
